• Poor Trigger Finger Discipline On Video Game Covers

Video game site Kotaku takes a look:

If the safety is off, or if the gun is loaded without you being aware of it, keeping your finger off the trigger will ensure that you’re using it safely. Until you are ready to fire the gun, until you are ready to destroy what you’re pointing at, you should keep your finger off the trigger. It’s far too easy to accidentally pull the trigger because of a spasm or startled response to something.

Mostly, but there’s no reason to have your finger on the trigger even if there is a safety and you “know” that it’s on.

  • MrColionNoir On Blaming The Gun

A response to Bob Costas / Jason Whitlock:

Well said.  It’s unfortunate people that are against guns generally can not think logically.

You can’t really see much of it in the video, but MrColionNoir is wearing the AR-15 Picatinny Rail t-shirt.

  • James Yeager On Vehicle Ambushes

    Yea this happened:

Uh yea… I’m not touching this one.  I’m sure he’s had to delete a million comments considering his heavily criticized history regarding vehicle ambushes.  I mentioned before I don’t have an opinion on those events… I wasn’t there and the video sucks.

  • FPS Russia’s Far Cry 3 Advertisement

Oh… I Mean He Looks At Far Cry 3 Weaponry:

Both Freddiew and FPS Russia act like they are making these videos out of the goodness of their hearts, with no compensation from the video game companies at all.  I find that hard to believe considering the entire thing is an advertisement, who knows though… maybe these are the type of videos is what they think their audience wants to see.

I’ll admit that boat explosion was cool, but I’m getting quite bored of his videos.

You can buy Far Cry 3 for $60 over at Amazon if that’s your thing.

  • Just Wait Until People Realize You Can 3D Print Firearms With Metal

There is so much gasping going around that you can “OMG 3D print a gun”.  Then people go and do shit like this:

A few rounds and it breaks? *yawn* color me un-surprised.  You can check out the full fail breakdown over at Defense Distributed.

I don’t consider myself an expert on the topic of 3D printing, but I have got prototypes made using numerous materials and numerous methods over the years.  3D printing in titanium, cobalt, stainless steel, tool steel, aluminum etc.. have been available for a while, many of which are extremely strong.  People have built everything from impellers to implants using the technology, so making a reliable AR-15 lower using these methods would be child’s play.  Granted, it’s not affordable right now for the average person to print metal at home but you can believe that will be coming.

If guns are ever banned the United States is going to have the most badass type Khyber Pass type gun markets popping up, but instead of half blind people missing fingers making guns by hand with 100 year old tools, you’ll buy your guns from good looking dudes with great hair that kick it in suits all day chilling in high rise condos with a few 3D metal printers.  They will no doubt also have female models answer the phones and greet clients.  My usual whiskey sour while I wait? Sure Rebecca, thanks for asking.

  • Bob Costas Quotes Jason Whitlock Regarding Jovan Belcher Murder Suicide

I always get a kick out of when people flip out over stuff like this:

In the coming days, Belcher’s actions will be analyzed through the lens of concussions and head injuries. Who knows? Maybe brain damage triggered his violent overreaction to a fight with his girlfriend. What I believe is, if he didn’t possess/own a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today.

You can read Jason Whitlock’s article over at FoxSports.

This post was going to be alternately titled “One Nobody Quotes Another – People Flip Out” because I have no idea who either of the people are, nor do I even care slightly what their stance on gun control is.  That said, sports also isn’t on my radar so these two might be sports knowledge gods for all I know.   Really though, if that’s what Jason Whitlock “believes” then let him believe that.  If he is that stupid to think that a 6’2″ 228 lb. linebacker would have any trouble killing someone with even his bare hands if he wanted to, then I think he needs more of a lesson in physics and anatomy than anything else.

I suppose the main issue though is that rather than remaining neutral in the tragedy  NBC now gets painted with a brush of “shoving gun control down our throats”.

All I know is I really wanna know what Ja Rule has to say about this whole thing.  hahha
