haha “Blanket Man” out of context sounds like the lamest nickname on earth. I had no idea USMC carried around a ballistic blanket. I just figured they stood a hand full of yards adjacent to where the blast is going to be coming out. What’s the point of standing right in front of the blast? That blanket must be quite heavy seeing as it’s a lot of layers of kevlar. I know how much kevlar vests weight, so that has to weigh at least 6x what a vest would because it’s so big.
If I was blanket man, I would really own the nickname by getting a Linus (from peanuts) tattoo. Maybe even Gucci Mane style on my cheek.
haha! Like a few people in the comments on my Instagram post said – He really matrix dodged that initial firework shot.
The guy in the video is Baret Fawbush from YouTube. Who also surprisingly (to me anyway) happens to be a preacher.
Definitely a funny way to spice up the old “stationary shooting range”. Sure he’s wearing ear and eye pro, but I’m betting getting a burning hot screaming firework to an unprotected part of the face would probably do some damage. I don’t have much experience with firework related shenanigans. My buddies and I were always pretty safe with those… we just threw Black Cats and Lady Fingers at each other. :P I maybe have some minor hearing damage from that, but really… if you made it through your teens and 20s without any good drinking related stories and some slight hearing damage then you were probably just not living; you were too focused on saying alive.
Thoughts? Anyone going to one-up this guy with a multiple angles of all types of elaborate fireworks, computer controlled like an actual ambush?
On an island called Svalbard, in the Arctic Ocean:
I like that train of thought. Too bad they didn’t use that in the USA to promote unrestricted carry in all 50 states. People are dying because of XXXX… if they were armed then they probably wouldn’t die. Simple. I can’t say I’m currently in a hurry to get to Svalbard though. Looks like there probably aren’t that many girls, menswear stores, or coffee shops there. I’ll probably google some more pictures tomorrow, because it’s 3AM right now.
Thoughts?
Gat tip: Summary RSS *faceplam* Blog I really wish they would knock that shit off, for real. No one cares what I think though haha.
In part 1 (not posted because it’s slow moving) dude pours the liquid into the blue silicone mold.
As we (or maybe just me?) have come to expect, the website is unfinished and has no pricing info or any shop to purchase one of these. I guess you have to contact him buy email – [email protected] . If someone does, let me know how much this thing is so I can update the post. Thanks!
From the site:
The GunMold allows you to make a complete AR-15 lower receiver at home with NO FFL Transfer required (Federal Firearms License) Unlike an AR-15 (80%) Lower Receiver which requires machining or additional work this requires nothing more pouring, setting, removing the polymer lower and last but not least breaking off some polymer flashing. This video is part 1 or 2 and will show how to start make your ARMOLD from GunMold.com using the silicone mold and part will show how to remove the AR lower. This allows you to legally as many AR15 lowers as your heart desires with no GOVERNMENT involvement, no gun registration, no paper trails, no ATF, no backgrounds, no BS.
I had a silicon molding guy back in the day who did some prototype work for me. As you can see when he opens the mold at 1:55 there’s a lot of leakage flashing, but that stuff doesn’t take that long to clean up and then you have a pretty nice looking part. Not something sellable IMO, but good enough to make for personal use, without having to jump through any paperwork of any type. I’m really surprised no one brought this idea to market before!
Oh yea, and this is where I say BAN ASSAULT SILICONE, BAN ASSAULT POLYMER! :P
