Youtube just showed me this epic short film today (even though it’s from 2020):
Unbelievable how talented some people are. I’d watch an hour and a half movie with that storyline developed even more.

Congrats to them 🎂🥳. I love this type of vid:
Interesting to hear the history and see some of the old pictures.
0:47 – That is a lot of different buildings for one company. 700,000+ sq ft. of manufacturing space!
0:55 – “More than 1400 employees keep the factory running 24/7, producing millions of rounds per day” 😲 FLEX.
I knew ammo companies like Federal were big.. but after seeing the vid I’m even more in awe.
Federal is publicly traded on the NYSE under the ticker VSTO (Vista Outdoor Inc.,) the company that owns them. Like most stocks this year to date, they have taken around a 30% haircut. It’s still up several hundred percent over the last couple years though… you love to see it.

This is really well done:
When ever I see anything about the WOT trigger I’m always reminded of the Print Shoot Repeat song.
2:46 – “The materials used to build the trigger were carefully picked and were designed by Swedish engineers“. I always find it funny how a lot of companies will use the fact that it wasn’t American Engineers who designed X or Y like it’s a flex. I don’t know what the flex really could be, besides “I’m so fancy I hired people in another fancy country you’ve probably never been to, rather than my own country.”??? I think it goes without saying American Engineers have been absolutely slaying for hundreds of years. Like, watch a SpaceX documentary or something if you need to be inspired.

It was all fun and games until Polenar Tactical (a gun shooting channel) wanted to shoot their dumb knives:
From the video description:
Apparently it looks bad that we show some of the knives broke. Well what did they expect? Perfectly normal result if you shoot a kitchen knife with a handgun.
Unreal. What did the knife company expect? I get so many SpOnSorShiP, GuEsT poSt and AdVertIsinG emails too, and it’s painfully obvious most of the people sending the emails have never been to the site. That’s fine, because they literally just want a backlink.. but they should at least know not to email me about placing ads for a baby food brand or something not even remotely related to my content; I don’t need the $50 they used to want to pay, that badly. Now I typically just reply “$3000, and I have to approve the content / link”.. and I never hear back. In the case of this Polenar Tactical video.. they gave that knife company way more than they ever could have asked for. It made their knives look great if you ask me. If Polenar Tactical didn’t get paid though, that really sucks. Semi typically blade boi behavior tbh.

The longest longboi I’ve ever seen. A BIG IRON:
It’s actually a real custom gun made by Reddit user Suspectgore074, not a photoshop. 🤣💀
How he made it:
The short story is three slides, the long story is that it took me two attempts to make this thing. The first slide I made got a good thrashing on the milling machine, and was mostly unrecoverable, so I started again on a new slide. I later found a demilled colt slide and chopped that for my second upcoming long slide. The way I extended it is I made custom spacers and welded them between the chopped segments, and then blended it. It’s got a regular government spring with a really long spring cap.
Thoughts? As much as I’m obsessed with the things the 3d printing guys are doing.. it’s cool to see someone make something like this for fun out of real steel.

The fellas are complaining in the comments:
I clicked through like forty guns and receivers on their site, and sure enough all of them are sold out. Good problem to have, if they are actually selling out of everything they make. You never know though.. so many supply chain issues at the moment maybe they can’t even get raw materials etc..?
I know at least one of you guys is going to make fun of me for being safety-boi again, but I can’t believe basically no one wears a helmet skateboarding. At the very most, a hat / hood will just keep the skin surface pretty in case of a bad accident.
0:21 – I know generally skateboarders are far too cool to care… but if it were my job designing the deck, I would have either made CHAINSAW fill the entire board, or fit nicely between the trucks. The way it is now, the board reads HAINSAV. That’s actually kind of mysterious though.. maybe they’re on to something. Sounds like a Finnish death metal band.
