• Silencerco Brings In A Duck Dynasty Guy

Jep Robertson for their FightTheNoise campaign:

0:43 – haha cool shooting spot throwing the clays out over the water, plus the little swinging plinking targets.  I’m sure they own the billion acres surrounding that lake, so I’m assuming it’s safe even though I was taught to never shoot at water.

0:54 – Filling the water with busted clays and lead, then catching fish (I’m assuming to eat) from that water wouldn’t be high on my list of things to do.

Silencer-Fight-The-NoiseDude loved that he could drop his story about how tight he is with the congressman haha.

I’ve only seen a couple episodes of Duck Dynasty.  I can definitely see why people liked the show, but it just wasn’t for me.

  • The Most OPESEC Man In The World

A fun short video from Joint Information Operations Warfare Center:

Spongebob-Squarepants-Operator-Rifle-AR-15Heh.  I’m always down for a Dos Equis commercial, or a good parody.

For those who don’t know… OPSEC = Operations Security.

  • If A Glock Safety Gadget Was Needed Gaston Would Have Added One

    New Glock related product shenanigans:

    Naturally an indiegogo campaign.

The Gadget replaces the standard slide plate on the back of your Glock with an all-steel passive Striker Control Device. When thumb pressure is being applied to the Gadget (such as when holstering) it blocks the motion of the striker, which blocks the motion of the trigger bar, which prevents the trigger from being pulled.

Glock-Safety-GadgetGuess what?  If you didn’t try to RE-HOLSTER like a hotshot there wouldn’t really be any need for this.  I see so many guys on YouTube / real life where it’s like there’s some sort of cool guy no-look speed competition to get the gun back in the holster.  NO ONE IS IMPRESSED.  Look at your holster to make sure nothing is in the way of it, then casually put the gun back in at a regular speed.  I can’t imagine any circumstance (non shady one anyway) where you’d need to shoot then put the gun away quickly.

At the time of writing this article 448 people think it’s an amazing enough idea to throw their money at, and the indiegogo campaign funding goal is exceeded.

Thoughts?  Would operate with a gadget?

  • Suicide Squad – Trailer

    Looks promising:

I started throwing money at the screen when I saw that Cara Delevingne (AKA ENDO-BAE) is in it.  I’ll definitely see this, unlike the POS looking Batman v.s. Superman movie coming out March 2016.

Jared Leto looks pretty damn creepy as the Joker, wow.

jared-leto-suicide-squad-jokerThere are bound to be some pretty epic gun / fight scenes in this movie I imagine.

In theaters Aug 5, 2016 (Lonnnnng wait).

  • Royal Marines Reserve Officer Ration Pack Trollin

    Officers get all the perks:

    Troll-Facehaha that was pretty funny.

  • Holographic Plasma Displays For Next Gen Weapon Sights

This looks like it has potential:

tinkerbellI can see it coming to rifles someday, as long as they can decrease the size of the projector setup.  It would be cool to be able to change reticles etc. on the fly on something that doesn’t need a whole housing around it like the current “red dot” style weapon sights.  So many other awesome opportunities for these floating plasma displays in shooting and military applications.
