People don’t need guns in NYC… the police are apparently good enough:
0:02 – Stellar trigger discipline J
0:59 – LOL some guy (likely from Portland ) said he should be shot in the face. Sounds like a good enough reason to me to want to protect yourself.
3:19 – Is this guy talking from a shooting range, or did he just finish shooting? If not, let me be the first to say he looks really special.
John Stossel is the man. I’ve like him ever since someone on here told me to watch the Freeloaders special he made.
Thoughts?

This is based in NY, but echoes our plight here in CA. What a sad time we live in.
One of the main reasons I moved from NY to GA. I applied for my GFL and it arrived in 8 days, the wife’s took 3….. basically comes down to how busy the judge is that week when signing new permits. We carry everywhere…
Fuck NY…..
Forgot to add this, a GWL is $75.00 and good for 5 years from issue.
Yup, speaking of, my GWL expires in a year, DOH!
I am a NY’er in VA and when I see people who left the non-free states, I chuckle. When I was in Mass, I got a firearms ID for a rifle. It required fingerprints and a $10 app back on 95. It wasn’t a hassle. With NY and Massachusetts in mind, I learned as a VA resident, there is no permit required.
The concealed carry permit (good for 5 yrs) wasn’t onerous at all. Took a couple of months but if you follow guidelines and your background is clean, they won’t hassle you and reject you like in NY. When my firearms owning friends in other states talk about waiting times and their bureaucratic processes, I shake my head and count my blessings that I live in a free state.
What county are you in? I don’t understand why it took a couple months to get a CHL here in VA. Unless you live in one of the more populated or liberal counties.
For those of you that aren’t familiar with the story of Joseph Lozito.
He was attacked in NYC subway with a couple of cups just a few feet away.
The moral of the story: Cops don’t have to do shit for you.
See Joseph tell he’s touching story.

Unfortunately, my line of work requires me to be in NYC. as a resident of NYC, i find this appalling and shameful… Im an upstanding law-abiding citizen who has never even gotten a parking ticket in his life and I pay taxes, help old ladies across the street and even have excellent credit. Taxes paid so the NYPD can sit and do nothing while good citizens are disarmed to feed all the murderers and rapists… But God forbid i have an ‘illegal’ gun to protect myself… the city would just as soon throw me in prison to rot with all the murderers and rapists… I will have my guns here in NYC, in this life or the next… come pry them from my cold dead hands
its a joke, $430 application fee? the city of New York is robbing people! WTF!
What’s up with part two to the video? I wanna see him pull red tape!

Nice post, Erik. Just watched it. That is horrible what happened/is happening to Joe with the NYPD. I think the NYPD DOES have a duty to protect the citizens they’ve disarmed!
They do everything possible to make it impossible to get a carry-permit, so their Cops better start acting responsibly.
I thank god I live in VT. Vermont and Alaska; the only two states left in the union that do it right. I want to buy a gun, I go out and buy it. I want to sell a gun, I go out and sell it. I want to carry a gun I simply put it my holster and walk out my front door. No paperwork, no permit, no hassle; but even here the sheeple are bahing loudly to ruin a system that ain’t broke.
Furthermore, why do you need to give reasons for wanting a carry permit? The only reason I would give is because it’s my right as guaranteed by the Constitution; the supreme law of the land.
john stossel is a beast.
I got my CCL when I was home on leave while still active in the Army. It took 15 mins to do the paperwork, get printed, call in the background check, and I walked with the license in hand. $65 for five years.
Seriously, Fuck New York
