New show on the National Geographic channel that starts today (Feb. 13):
Lords of War brings you inside the intriguing world of historical weaponry as Sean Rich and his team of weapons experts travel across the country in search of the best in antique weapons and militaria. Journey through history as the guys assess, test, and auction the bounties of war.

This show is already on National Geographic, it’s a decent show. He was selling a MAC 10 with suppressor and he actually explained that there are 3 NFA tax stamps and a long wait time for the person to get the item, and he proceeded to explain what an NFA item was. I’ve only seen two episodes. The only draw back is that it’s one of the guys that the pawn stars used as an expert.
Being on Pawn Stars discredits him how?

That guy from Pawn Stars is pretty knowledgable about ancient and antique weapons and isn’t a douchebag. How is that a bad thing?

Yes.
Just got done with an episode – it is only on National Geographic for me, not Discovery – and I have to admit to being somewhat impressed. It is a little repetitive in places, and some of the things the customers say is predictably… well, dumb, but they actually put a banner at the bottom of the screen indicating that all firearm transactions have to go through appropriate local, state, and federal laws, and they verbally mention/stress eye/ear protection when shooting things.
Those two things alone put them head and shoulders above 90% of the firearm-related shows on the boob toob these days.

I’m going to be the first to say it. This show sucks. The younger guy is overly animated. The show reminds me of Top Shots (exploding targets) minus the drama unless you want to count the ‘nail biting’ bidding war. After 3 episodes I deleted it from my record list.
Redneck, goobers, and pre-pubescent teens will love this show.
Isn’t this the one that Buck Yeager is supposed to be hosting and presenting?
