Mel Gibson’s Seized Guns – Derek Zoolander Approves

Source – TMZ

As some of you probably know, Mel Gibson is in some hot water since his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva accused him of domestic violence.  Naturally the court ordered that his weapons be confiscated…

Nice variety of guns.  When I first saw the story I figured I was going to be in for some Bejeweled deagles and basterdized 1911s. Wait… the Deagle is Israeli though, Mel wouldn’t be down for that (see what I did there?).

It’s funny when the police confiscate innocuous items like carrying cases and brushes.

The best part though is that everything is Blu Steel… I immediately thought this:

I’m pretty sure I’ve referenced Zoolander a few times on this blog. If you don’t get the references please do yourself a favor and rent/buy/or watch it online for $3… it’s hilarious.

Not a single spare mag. What a piker.

  2. …the Deagle is Isralei though, Mel wouldn’t be down for that (see what I did there?)…

I see what you did there… nice. You spelled “Israeli” wrong though! Transposed the “l” and the “e”.

      corrected.. thanks Josh

  3. Actually the Desert Eagle is entirely American in design, it was designed by Magnum Research in Minnesota. It’s just built in Israel. They were also built in the US for a few years too.

    1. The Desert Eagle is now entirely built here in America since 2009.

  4. He is a 9mm guy huh?

Last item – what is a Glock Speedloader? Is it the plastic item that helps one load the mag?

Yea that plastic thing that comes with all new Glocks. They actually work pretty well on stiff new mags. I usually end up using mine later on in the day when I go to the range because my thumb starts to hurt.

  5. Bill,

No, I googled the modle number 483-3, it’s this (I wasn’t aware it had a model number):

Yea that’s the one! that’s funny they took the time to find the model number out for that sheet… like it matters considering it is just a piece of plastic. haha

  6. I cracked up when I first saw this story over the weekend: http://www.dnaindia.com/entertainment/report_mel-gibson-surrendered-multiple-weapons-after-domestic-violence-claim_1466022
I love how they specifically called out the speedloader (yes a piece of plastic that eases the mag loading on the tight springed double stack Glock because it gets pretty tough those last few rounds…I’d hardly call it for “speed” but more a thumb saver): He also laid down a speed loader for the Glock, which allows someone to load the gun quicker.” They make it sound like he was prepared to go to war. I’ll be the first to say that Mel is a nut job (gotta love the pic they used too, to highlight that), but this is just another example of our fine American journalism…

haha they make it sound like the “speed loader” is some sort of drum magazine that you can just attach to the gun. Awesome picture too you’re right!

  7. I wasn’t aware that a 15 round magazine for the 92FS is considered “High-cap”

I believe in California that is considered high capacity, because under the assualt weapons act they are only allowed 10 rounders. I know what you’re saying though.. I’d still consider 15 round mags “standard capacity” though anywhere else.
