Derpy Shooting Range Confidence / Situational Awareness Drill

OH LAAAAAAWwwwD this is surprising, but yet not at the same time:

The source is a Brazilian police fan page on facebook.

Even my girlfriend was like “Couldn’t they have just had a dummy that went across?”.  Me: *puffs chest out* These are big boy rules GurL.

Brazil-Police-Downrange-OperatorsBrazilian’s operate hard. Thoughts?

  1. Soooo bragging about having a girlfriend.

Tacticool operative nonsense, once again, even though I think Brazilian LE are operating at TIER-1 level, given what the can face daily.
I had a friend in Sao Paulo, who told me that it was advised to ignore traffic lights at night, because it would be too dangerous to stop… Civilized country?

Endo Mike is just lying again. We all know he doesn’t have a gf.

Lol, brah welcome to the world that isn’t North America or Europe. When I hear stuff like that I get nostalgic. Thank god these places are littered with plastic bags.

    3. What does Tier 1 actually mean?

      1. It’s kinda like the 1st floor of a building… :-\

Watch anything on liveleak and it’s pretty clear their culture has very little value for life. Seems to me they fall somewhere in between China and Africa in that regard. Don’t let the World Cup fool you. A first world country they are not.

y’all have prob seen it, but the flick “Elite Squad” is set in Rio and pretty awesome.

i’d wager that these cops put themselves on the line to model badass machismo for their juniors and to show the media/politicos how disciplined these squads are.

    Honestly,

why not? You trust your team. It is not that different from doing MOUT or Bounding alley drills with live fire. Americans are too skittish sometimes. Hell, in infantry school, you were behind the targets they shoot on one course. I went to one course where we would count shots from a berm where the target was while the shooter engaged them. Safety is important, but combat isn’t safe. You need to walk a thin line between safe and unsafe for optimal performance.
