Surefire flashlights have been in tons of movies… here’s a look at some of them:
I can’t believe I’ve never seen most of those. I always get so hyped about movies when I see the trailer, but the throught of going to an actual movie theater where I can’t pause the film to go to the bathroom, make good food to eat multiple times, and maybe even split a long one up over a few days, really doesn’t interest me. Normally I end up forgetting about movies now entirely. I’ve been watching a lot of good documentaries to unwind… watched one the other day on the U.S. Postal Inspectors. Fun Fact: It’s the oldest law enforcement agency in the U.S…. and some of the stuff they do appears to be pretty high-speed.
I’ve always been a strong supporter of Surefire.. except for that tactical derp specimen known as the wrist light.
Next up for Surefire, Bollywood?

I have always wondered if there is an entire prop crew in Hollywood that had the job of running down CR123 batteries for Surfire flashlights until they are nearly dead. I used to watch CSI, and the investigators were always in some dark house, searching for clues with some big 500 lumen Surefire that was no brighter than a candle.
SUREFIRE sucks… take a look at their lumens… you buy a flashlight to be bright…. right? OR is it because of tactiCOOL Tomfoolery in the namesake? Seriously, why pay $200+ for a 100 lumen craplight from SUREFIRE when you can get a smaller FENIX that has 280 lumens for $90??
A Surefire G2X is $70 MSRP with an output of 320 lumens.
It is also made in America and backed by the manufacturer for life. And they are built like tanks.
I broke a Fenix light, Fenix told me to contact my vendor (in Engrish). My vendor said it was past their 30 days return period, and to deal with Fenix. In the end I had to fix the damn thing myself.
Now compare this to when my X200B broke (no idea how my mom had it). I called up Surefire, the rep spoke English promptly gave me a RMA number. I shipped it out on Monday. On Friday they called me up asking “Your X200B is not repairable, do you mind if we upgrade you to a X300?” And the following Friday I had a refurbished X300 in my hands.
In closing I would like to say fuck Fenix, fuck Fenix right in their ear hole. I will never buy one of their lights ever again.
Yeah fenix ftw. Wayyy better and doesn’t need schills or fancy marketing like ppgmd over there.
Curious, what’s the documentary on Postal Inspectors called?
It’s called “Bombs, Bullets and Fraud” – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1043834/
You can grab it here – http://eztv.it/ep/51398/smithsonian-bombs-bullets-and-fraud-x264-hdtv-mvgroup/
Don’t you know that is the one to use when you set your phasers on stun?
