Sad that someone could do a daily blog on school “zero tolerance” violations alone, and have lots of material:
ANAHEIM HILLS, CA – A student at a high school in Anaheim Hills said administrators ordered her to change out of a T-shirt that promoted the National Rifle Association.
Full Story – CBS LA
Two things are offensive here:
- The fact she was asked to remove a t-shirt that had nothing offensive even on it. Oh the silhouette of the hunter and the word “rifle” is offensive? *yawn*
- Why is a girl her size wearing a shirt that looks like it’s a 5XL?
Haley Bullwinkle, contact me and I’ll send you an ENDO Apparel t-shirt of your choice… but you’re getting a size small, not a 2XL :P
How long until there are private schools people can send their kids to, which are not run by idiots? Maybe the NRA should start these types of schools, with “tolerance” policies in each state.
Thoughts?

To me the most offensive thing is that the headline if the article says the shirt promotes gun violence. But they’ve already backed down:

As for schools I’m hoping we see more charter schools and voucher programs. I think they’re more viable in the short term and more likely to force public schools to react.
Here’s a pic of her wearing the shirt. It doesn’t seem overly large on her.

And trust me on this, if you ever have a daughter, giving her tight fitting clothing will NOT be your first choice. :P
Haha I know what you’re saying, but in my opinion she is basically swimming in that shirt!
But what about the children?!?!
How do you make a life long libertarian or conservative? Treat them like a criminal for doing nothing wrong in the interest of not offending …
California, run by idiots for idiots.
As a Kalifornistanian, I apologize, but mostly ashamed, for the stupidity that goes on in this state. Our “lawmakers” seem to know what’s best for us. Look at the recent Bill to give illegal immigrants driver’s licenses or the upcoming Assault Weapons Ban SB374, for example if Gov Brown does not veto it by Oct 13. SMH
The school made an apology to the young lady and her parents and they also said that they were wrong in asking her to turn it inside out. I’m encouraged.

Was the apology after all the media publicity?
LOL, from reading the last two paragraphs, it looks like the school is never short on controversy.
In california it was probably the flag in the middle that offended them
She should go back to school with a “California – No right to bear arms” ENDO shirt. And bring a lot of pastries chewed into the shape of pistols. LOL
