After blasting through the gate with C-4 charges, three SEALs marched up the stairs. Midway up, they saw bin Laden’s twenty-three-year-old son, Khalid, craning his neck around the corner. He then appeared at the top of the staircase with an AK-47. Khalid, who wore a white T-shirt with an overstretched neckline and had short hair and a clipped beard, fired down at the Americans

Can’t stand rap!
Some Rolling Stones, Steve Miller Band, yeah, but not rap.
Yo.. I’m trying to get a hold of you. Please email me using the link at the bottom of the page!
That new yorker article is from the future? It’s dated August 8th. You’re good Mike! ha
The guy that wrote the New Yorker article leads the the reader to believe that he knows what happened. He doesn’t. He never talked to ANY of the SEALs involved in the mission. He got his info solely from people that talked to the SEALs.
Lame.
Yeah, people who aggregate and present information are totally lame…
Apparently reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit…
Apparently sarcasm isn’t yours…
The author really admires the current president and presented him as a well-informed, patient, competent, introspective, compassionate, mannered, thoughful commander-in-chief. There, I said it.
Fell free to insert your own positive adjective into that stream. Some may disagree, but I firmly believe that had this occured during the former president’s tenure, we would have read about his smirk or high-fives or slamming his hands down on the table when he dismissed a possible non-violent resolution. Here, we read that there was never any question about bringing in OSB dead or deader. That is a completely rational and logical decision. There is no talk of revenge or blood-lust.
I am satisfied with the result of this raid. Apopcryphal or not, I will still quote George Orwell: Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
But I am not going to believe that our elected leadership breezed through the operation with doubt or conflict.
