An armored, 4-door, 4-wheel drive, 6.0 turbo diesel truck capble of running on JP-8 and other military fuels. This Non-Standard Tactical Truck (NSTT) can be internally transported in a CH / MH 47 helicopter. Built from the ground-up with the intent of being armored and operating in unforgiving terrain, the NSTT can operate in any denied environment.
Looks like a capable truck, that’s for sure. The suspension looks to be a bit soft, especially on the track at the 1 minute mark. I suppose they likely go with a standard style suspension and try to make it decent on most terrain, rather than a complex adjustable one that would be a pain to repair.
The big WTF point in the video is at 1:09 when two guys are in the truck taking live fire from an AK-47. Like Solomon mentioned in his post, why the hell would you do that? I get the fact that you are confident in your product, but really?? Putting a camera inside would have sufficed. I’m surprised those guys agreed to something so stupid.

Plus, it’s filmed at VIR, so +10 additional cool points, for a total of OVER 9,000!
Meh, they’re far from the first people to do a live fire demo with guys inside. It really does show the confidence in the product, and just look how well it worked for Richard Davis (the guy who founded Second Chance body armor.)
That’s true Fred. I guess I just wouldn’t want to take that small risk that there is an anomaly in the glass and the bullet sails through it on a follow up shot. I’ve even heard of people getting hurt bad from the inside of those types windows blowing out. Granted that is probably from a round they were not meant to stop in the first place.
I’d be much more worried, from a buyer’s standpoint, if they weren’t willing to do that to be honest.
Are you meant to hold onto an AK’s magazine like that? I thought that was a shooting no-no.
Apparently with the AK it doesn’t matter, people do it all the time.
I wonder if civilians can buy these? Would be great for zombies and such. But to me it looks like I could take a Baja truck and put armor plating on it and that would suffice.
Yea I’m not sure about their availability to civilians. Good call on the armored Baja truck… it would probably be way cheaper and more than effective enough for your average run in with stray bullets from gang violence etc..
They just combined two of my most favorite things! The extra weight of the armor definitely shows in the truck’s handling though, but it’s totally worth it I’m sure. If I were a celebrity or otherwise extremely rich this would be my daily driver.
The biggest problem in owning a vehicle like this is resisting the urge to shoot at it yourself, just to show your friends.
haha yea, if these trucks were less expensive I’m sure there would be a lot of “hold my beer and watch this!” type demonstrations going on amongst friends.
You guys should check out the documentary Bulletproof Salesman.
