    The real thing being built on the Mauser C96 (actually an MGC modelgun for the most part I believe) – so wouldn’t have had a removable mag.

        Consider my balls well and truly bust. I was already mentally preparing my nerdy response before spotting your disclaimer!

        A bigger problem than the detachable mag is the spurious list of parts – necessary since you need to make up some sci-fi innards for the thing if you’re going to do a cutaway or exploded drawing, but they’ve been a bit lazy in basing virtually all of the parts names on well-known scifi series. But hey, it’s for a T-shirt.
