OH WOW scary stuff :P. An interview with filmmaker Stephanie Soechtig and executive producer Katie Couric:
The film is a look at guns and gun violence in the United States. I can’t find a trailer for it anywhere, but it doesn’t really sound like anything that hasn’t been done dozens of times before.
If anyone ever actually came up with an idea that would work to stop gun violence without making stupid new laws (which criminals don’t follow) and/or infringing the rights of non-crimimals, then I’d be willing to listen. I say it all the time… gun violence (although incredibly terrible) is not as big of a problem as it is made out to be. There are far bigger fish to fry when it comes to people dying annually (see CDC causes of preventable death). That said, none of the other ways are as sensational or bloody as gun violence, so they won’t look as gross on the front page of a news paper and won’t satisfy the blood lust people have which results in advertising dollars being made while every minute detail of every incident is reported.
I really wish this was the “Under the gun” they produced hahha:
So corny I love it.
Thoughts?
