Holy this is over the top:
0:25 – “You can help. After using a firearm one should clear the chamber, then check the chamber, then check it again. If there’s a safety put it on, then lock it up.” <—- AHHAHAHHA all that makes for such a cool starry bra. Real great strategy too for when you need to defend yourself… you know, because there’s always ample time to dial in a safe code, find the magazine, find the gun, load the gun, then save your life.
Oh and this all to get you to sign *yawn* yet another White House petition which will go nowhere. This is the description:
America is great. But it would be even greater it if had less preventable gun incidents.
Every American can support personal gun responsibility and safety, whether you’re a gun owner, a gun opposer, a senator, a mom, or a gun-owning senator mom who opposes her own guns. That’s why we want to make one day a year America’s official “National Gun Safety Day.”
So help us make June 16th an official day where we promote and support ongoing efforts by safety organizations, the gun industry, retailers, communities and regular people with and without guns to create momentum for gun safety. Because the fewer holes we put in America, the happier we’ll all be.
“Days” and “months” are so hot right now in marketing… so hot. This campaign is especially retarded it really warms my heart.
Thoughts?

I dont really care as long as it is just a recommendation. I chuckled about the dildo ad last year(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-xc6_GhkZg) but find this one a bit over the top. Whatever. If you have kids in your home, store your gun in a way it is easyily accessible by them and they kill themselves, bad luck. If you store your gun in a safe, someone comes to kill you and you cant get it out in time, bad luck. There is this thing called personal responsibility. It works wonders, I heard.
Still waiting for the ad where a pack of 19-25 year old blacks attempt a home invasion on a single mother and instead of ADT; she comes out with a AR 10 carbine and zaps them and says “Keep the change, ya filthy animal”.
Or a jumpy cop who is about to draw and shoot on some dude who forgot to use a turn single for daring to ask what’s going on after being screamed at “DO YOU KNOW WHY I PULLED YOU OVER??!!!1” and Ol Sarge pops up and says “Whoa pardner….don’t be THAT guy. People skills save lives!”
People would shout racism and sensationalism but it would be closer to reality
yes calling a group of young african americans a “pack” is indeed racist. and specifying intruders as young blacks is indeed racist. and also an AR-10 isn’t really a carbine, thats almost definitely a rifle. and that fires a 308 round, almost certainly going to over penetrate your house, and every house for 3 blocks. Not the ideal choice for home defense.
But yeah, both this video and your video are “sensationalism” have you considered getting a career in political advertising? your mind works in the same way as theirs lol
I disagree with this in 3 ways. First, an AR-10 can definitely be a carbine(16″ barrel is generally considered a carbine). It is also a rifle. Carbine’s have shorter barrels than rifles, and if they fire a rifle round then they are also a rifle. Not all Rifles are carbines though. Second, I don’t think even the best penetrator rounds will go through 3 blocks worth of houses unless they are made of cardboard. A modern all copper hollowpoint doesn’t take many walls to destabilize and stop. Third, there are many homesteaders that do use .308 for home defense. They might be more worried about grizzly than human predators.
I generally don’t see a lot of grizzly bears where large roving gangs of black teens break into single mothers homes, but yeah if you have a lot of acreage and have no risk of your 308 round passing through the insulation, drywall and plywood of a suburban neighboorhood like paper, 308 becomes an invaluable home defense round.
See….why they gotta be “gangs”?
THAT is racist.
Pack implies a loosely affiliated collective. A gathering. Maybe not inherently criminal in nature but more closely connected than mere acquaintances.
And they do make 110 gr urban use rounds.
gang
noun
1.
a group or band:
A gang of boys gathered around the winning pitcher.
2.
a group of youngsters or adolescents who associate closely, often exclusively, for social reasons, especially such a group engaging in delinquent behavior.
A group of criminals, regardless of race, is a gang. A pack is a group of animals.
You just called a group of black guys “boys”.
Man…I am sorry but I don’t feel comfortable talking to you anymore.
Colorado springs has black bears, mountain lions, and coyotes in city limits. Most recent bear was about 5 blocks away from downtown. This is the same area where many break ins have recently occured. Just sayin…
Why is referring to any group as a pack racist? Oh, because YOU thought of it and it made you feel bad. Is it the words one says or is it the hate in one’s heart for someone of a different skin color racist? Exactly. You have no idea what Disco has in his heart when he refers to a pack of 19-25 year olds. I lived in an apartment above another that was raided by 4 black men. I struggled to know what to do (in CA so can’t really use lethal force on neighbor’s behalf) but every time I’ve told that story, I’ve often used words like “pack” or “group” or ‘invasion’ when referring to their numbers. Should I feel bad and consider myself a racist? If you want to call me a racist because I think racial profilling is an invaluable tool for police work, or that when I see your garden variety thug (young black youth male with pants off his ass, hoodie, straight billed hat, and attitude stairing me down as I drive by) I am 100% OK in judging him as a criminal because I have a problem with black culture that breeds such thuggery. And I’d still not be racist because I don’t have hate for all blacks, I don’t judge myself as being superior or in anyway ‘better’ than blacks.

honestly i dont see anything wrong with this ad, its not infringing on rights at all.
asking people to be safe is ok with me . so long as they dont tell us what we have to do !
See….it SEEMS that way.
If they just had a guy going “Hey man. Secure your stuff to prevent loss, theft, or accidental discharge. Stay safe. Stay Sharp. Support the 2nd Amendment” I would be good with it.
But the whole smug guy walking around endless gunfire like Anytown USA is somehow WORSE than downtown Ramadi with random anonymous gunfire coming from everywhere….well it is propaganda so they can say later “Hey we TRIED to tell people to be safe but they won’t listen. Break out the emergency legislation”
meh
I wonder how many gang members with an illegal firearm see this and go, “Im going to start doing that! Thanks!” My guess is none. Last I checked the vast majority of innocents accidentally shot in my home state of Illinois were still from gang-related activity. Unless you want to roll suicides into that number too, since anti-gunners are always trying to throw them in to change statistics.
On a side note, I especially love this magical assumption that if we took away the guns, all these people who are serious enough about killing themselves to shoot themselves in the head, would not find a way to do it without a gun.
I can’t believe that gun owners can’t see through these condescending assholes’ campaigns. Edward Bernays and Joseph Goebbels would be proud. This is a fine piece of propaganda. It makes itself appear to be just a safety campaign, but it is slick 5th Avenue bullshit. If you look at the CDC stats, in 2013, there were just over 500 unintentional firearm deaths, about 3,300 unintentional drownings, about 40,000 unintentional poisonings, and about 40,000 unintentional deaths due to car accidents. Negligent gun accidents are NOT A BIG DEAL. Do you hear folks clamoring to protect children from pools, or household cleaners? Of course not. This ad makes gun owners look like crazy yahoos who shoot up everything. It is insulting, and for the antis, it just reinforces the strawman gun owner as an irresponsible reckless redneck. Fuck Evolve. You want to talk safety, then talk about the 4 rules. I don’t need a lecture from these fools about how dangerous firearms are and how the should be stored. Apparently, most gun owners don’t either. 500 deaths out of an approximated 100,000,000 gun owners is statistically insignificant. Accidental gun deaths are not the boogeyman they are trying to make it.
Nailed it!
Why go through all this trouble and marketing? Just start linking videos of Cokeman to really scare the soccer moms.
Haha, mind blown.
Haha yesssss.
