The 2nd Amendment is open for debate… actually the entire constitution is:
0:25 – Whoa whoa hit the breaks after that… what’s the next sentence Richie? oh right it’s “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED”. *smh* How much more clear can that be?
0:29 – *eye roll* at the right to have a tank comment. NEVER have I heard that one before. *sarcasm*
0:39 – SEGWAY LIFE. #SquadGoals. Side note on Segways, my dad and I did a Segway tour of downtown Chicago shortly after Segways came out. Even though it’s impossible for two 6ft+ tall guys too look cool wearing bike helmets and backpacks standing on those… that shit was so awesome, I couldn’t even. There’s always one person in the squad who can’t quite get the hang of it either, which is always good for some sympathetic laughs.
It’s a shame, the guy has quite an operational beard. If you’re wondering who this guy is, his name is Richard Martinez and his son Christopher Michaels-Martinez was shot by that Isla Vista, CA shooter / shit piece who I will not name. Terrible occurrence for sure, and I don’t wish losing a son to anyone… but I don’t see how volunteering for Everytown for Gun Safety with the goal of disarming the rest of us who are perfectly sane and responsible is going to fix anything or make anything better for the country as a whole. The good guys with guns are not the problem and have never been the problem.
Thoughts?

The difference being, if we treated other rights as we do the 2nd, would be cutting out the tongues of those who enter the movie theater just in case 1 person might yell fire in a theater when there wasn’t any.
Tool doesn’t even begin to describe this dude. He probably doesnt even give a shit that half the victims of that spree were stabbed to death.
I have no patience for these morons.
Slick, you’re right, and Walter Sobchak will be happy to set them straight on how the Supreme Court feels about prior restraint.

“Does not give an absolute right to… etc. etc. etc.”
Yes it does. You are just responsible for the consequences. This is -exactly- how we treat free speech. Yell fire in a crowded theater? Was there a fire? If yes you are doing the right thing, if not and people get trampled you get arrested and charged.
I love the “well what about tanks and nukes!” argument that always comes up. When Jim down the street buys himself a backpack nuke I’ll start worrying about the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Gotta love that strawman.
The guy isn’t totally wrong. The entire constitution is up for debate. This is why the founding fathers put a mechanism in place to modify the constitution. 2/3 of the states can call for a constitutional convention as can 2/3 of both houses vote to propose an amendment. If an amendment passes proposal it requires 3/4 of the state legislatures to vote for ratification.
Article V
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.
Fully agree. These libtard airheads should amend the constitution…oh wait, they can’t. They are too busy shopping at whole foods, eating organic, doing yoga, and getting their news from the daily show. Most of them don’t even vote. They can’t even write a common sense mental health law, or legislate anything that results in an actual logic solution to a problem.
If you have enough money to purchase a tank AND ammunition AND a safe way to transport it or drive it without tearing up public roads AND you don’t use it to hurt anybody AND you only shoot it in a safe location … what’s the problem?
Same with nukes. If you have the millions to purchase a nuke and the millions more to safely store it without contaminating anything, then you can already pretty much do what you want regardless of the law.
As far as owning tanks, two of the largest anti-gun contributors to the I-594 bill in WA state own working tanks. It is never about not allowing “people” to have guns. Just as Bloomberg and Shannon Watts have lots of guns carried by “body guards” that they control. It is always about everyone else (especially poor people) not being permitted to have guns
That guy is so beta that I bet he goes to a gynecologist for yearly exams.
If under Heller the 2nd should be treated the same as the other listed rights, then having to pay a fee for a license to own/posses/use/carry is by default unconstitutional, in the same exact way that its unconstitutional to make people pay a fee to vote.
+1 on not naming mass shooters or murders. let their names be forgotten.
“shit piece who I will not name.” Have to agree with jim bob, let that fucker fade into obscurity where he belongs.
I had a vivid image of a segway canteven patch while reading your description, still never been on one of those crazy things.
Taylor!
If you EVER do business/vaction in or near a major city…..DO the segway tour its a BLAST.
Did it in DC earlier this year, they give you a short lesson on control of it, not that hard at all….a lot of FUN!!!
This is how rights turn into privileges
You already can own a tank. It just costs hundreds of thousands (at least) to buy one and the upkeep every year costs as much as a new car even if you don’t drive it.
Sure, you can’t buy a modern tank but that is because the tech used in them is classified.
Terribly sad he lost his son. However he’s clearly a douche who basically felt this way beforehand. If any of us had lost our son we’d be campaigning to help lift the stupid gun bans on campus so responsible people can – gasp – protect themselves.
