A very cliche commercial from Glock:
I’ve poked fun at their other commercials in the past. Visually they are always really well put together, but they always have that fake / forced feeling to me. This one for instance… the “all walks of life” type message was just overbearing. Yea I get it.. you can be a soccer mom, you can be a cop, you can be a lawyer, you can be a construction worker, you can be Amanda Furrer etc.. etc.. and this gun is perfect for you if you want to conceal carry. You can read the specs on the G43 in the previous post I did, where it had me feeling some type of way. Still want, even though I’m none of the video targeted demographics, and feel kind of left out they didn’t include my demographic *insert standard self deprecating humor here :P* in the mix.
Unsurprisingly there is at least one person in the comments yelling about how irresponsible advocating purse carry is. *shrug* whatever works for you. Sure there are obvious disadvantages when it comes to access, and easily being disarmed etc.. but it’s probably better than nothing. It’s still concealed at least, and therefore definitely a wildcard for a scumbag. Unless some women were to change 100% how they dress, proper on body concealment just isn’t possible without major printing. Soccer mom purse carry lady in the video for instance… I don’t care how thin that gun is, when you throw a holster around it and stick it in her waistband it’s going to print through those tight pants and tight fitting top. Sure she could wear a cover garment, but it looks hot there so she probably wouldn’t be comfortable in it. I don’t think it’s bad that Glock shows purse carry in the video. People are free to make their own decisions, hopefully which they evaluated the pros and cons of themselves.
Thoughts?

I guess it makes me feel some type of way
“Confidence fits my lifestyle” thought they were talking about condoms for a sec.
I wish I had video editing software and time. I’d put those little crosses all over the place in that video. Chick with guitar case would look like she’s carrying Antonio Banderas’s case from Desperado. Kids running to soccer practice would each get one, etc.
Why don’t they just shut up an tell us the release date, you win I already want it just sell to me already…
Where are those women at my range?? Anyway yes, it is cliche. But on the other hand in a way they’re helping to fight a bunch of absurd media manufactured cliche’s the other way. Personally I think commerce and big ad money will do more to get the message out than the NRA, which is still kind of bad at PR despite some notable recent efforts. Drive on Glock.
I don’t know about you, but my CCW class was a solid 40% women. Class of 50. On any given day at my range, I would say that there are at least 25% of the patrons that are women. Milwaukee metro area.
That’s fantastic! My comment was tongue in cheek – I’m near Pittsburgh and female CCW in on the rise as well. My local club is 1.5 miles from my house – it is fantastic as a facility, but kind of the type old school gun ole boys club. They can’t do things like update the club calendar, much less understand their role as a facility and representatives of the Second Amendment in the community.
That soccer mom tho, damn

haha random is right… but always welcome in any post’s comments! Thanks Reader ;)
I know that ‘fake’ feeling you’re talking about. It reminds me of watching those training videos you had to sit down and sleep through six hours of when you got your first job at McDonalds.
I think newbies will appreciate this commercial. The crosses, will get the point across of being able to carry in different situations without fear of printing. ive spoken to a few people who have firearms but don’t concealed carry, becuase in their mind, the firearm will stand out like trying to hide a toaster in your waistband.
No way you could conceal that in spandex.
“confidence, it’s what’s in your pants”
I am most interested in the specs demonstrated at :34-:37 in the vidja.
That’s what I’m talkin bout.
Whats up with the CGI gunshots? Why wouldn’t Glock use live fire?
In the case of that shot I’m guessing the reason was definitely safety.
I always upvote Amanda Furrer.
Very well-made video.
About the purse-carry thing, it is an option for ladies, but on-body carry is always better and almost always possible. Check out Falia’s videos on youtube.
Will I buy a G43? Nope. No need for one. Although Glock makes great pistols and the G43 is no exception, they are still way to late in the single-stack 9mm market. And its overpiced.
I’m sure Glock fanboys will scoop them up anyway just like Apple fans buy everything that the company makes…
