I have zero context, and if these guys are actually Russian or not. I’m just going by the video description:
Meh.. not bad I guess. There are so many disarm videos and theories out there, that it seems like the best thing to do is just try SOMETHING rather than potentially getting executed. I wonder if they were practicing with live rounds in the video? Foreigners have been known to do some crazy shit in training… way more derptastic than putting photographers downrange on a live range.

the gun dosnt eject and you cant see the slide movie, probably blanks or just primers
Yea I noticed that too but I gave them the benefit of a doubt and chalked it up to a possible low frame rate issue. You’re probably right though!
They are either Russian, or two guys posing as Russians. The light blue stripped shirt is the color used by Russian Paratroopers. And the camo jacket on the other guy is hard to see but appears to be Russian too.
haha I thought you were trollin about the striped shirt being issued. The joke was on me though when I googled it.
It sounds like a joke, but they really are stereotypes of themselves.
I’m sure that was a Russian copy of a 1968 Timex Digital.

I think it’s a blank gun because the flame seems to come from the top of the gun instead of the barrel. This is a common system with some blank gun makers because it is easier to bore bore out a barrel that already has a hole in it.
does he hit the shooter in the face with his own gun or does the shooter play dead and go limp?
I have to say, after watching that video several times, it looks like the real deal Holyfield. I’m sure it was a blank in the chamber but his method is spot-on. If you notice, the first thing the “victim” does is move out of the line of fire. Next, the victim secures the gun with his right hand while coming around to the attacker’s face with his left, pulling him to the ground. As soon as the attacker is on the ground, the victim brings his left hand, using both hands to remove the gun from the attacker. That is generally the way handgun disarmament is taught. Of course, the most important part of the lesson is to stress that one should only attempt disarmament as a last resort.
P.S. – by “real deal Holyfield” I mean to say I suspect that guy is either Russian SF or a highly experienced hand-to-hand combat instructor ;)
That… Actually looked pretty legit. Now, to try it on the wife.
You can parkour your way out of any situation….Except a cage match with Randy Savage. But he died, so nothing else to worry about. Well, there could be a Benny Hinn type with Jedi mind tricks and force push nearby. Look mum no hands. Gotta get one of these jackets. :D
