The Talking Lead boys are at it again:
Remember the sweet 1911 factory tour I posted last week? Well these same guys talk to Lisa Looper from Flashbang about her holster.
1:49 – LOL “You Vanna White’d it”
I’m still not sold on the idea Flashbang holster, but I also don’t have boobs so my opinion doesn’t matter. I’m happy for Lisa because she seems like a really nice woman, who is involved in the gun community. Her other holsters demonstrated in the video looks more my speed. Good that they are tailored specifically to women.
Because criticizing websites is a hobby of mine, I have to say Flashbang Holsters (flashbangholsters.publishpath.com WTF?) has one of the worst websites ever. I’m sure she’s made millions off the holster… Lisa if you’re reading this, for the love of god hire a web developer and have them make a website which will better reflect your brand and your customers. You’re going to be surprised at the price a good place will charge, but trust me it will be worth it.
Zeke is in the classic M16 Selector Switch shirt from ENDO Apparel.

Anyways, I completely agree with you on the website critiquing. Is it me, or do gun accessory websites have the worst website designs, per capita, than any other industry? I would say most gun accessory websites look like a 12-Year-Old designed them, but that would be an insult to all 12-Year-Olds.
When I’m trying to buy a serious product and I see the website lacking, I tend to ask myself, “What other corners are they cutting?”
It’s a safe bet that she’s probably loosing some sales because of it, which might be a good thing for her competitors.
What I don’t get about the “Flash Bang” is that in order to access the gun, the shirt (or blouse) can’t be tucked into the pants. It also can’t be tight.
If you’re going to wear a loose, flowing shirt untucked, then why not just stuff the gun in the waistband and wear the shirt over it?

Agreed, when I first saw it, I thought it looked gimmicky and dumb. I kind of laughed, and said to my wife, “Hey check this thing out.” I expected her to think it was dumb, but she watched the videos, and said, “What a great idea!”
So from now on, I fully endorse the idea of the Flashbang.
Man boobs, hehe
She used to sell these holsters with looper law enforcement out of Oklahoma City. I believe she’s the wife of the owner. I was in OKC when these came out in 2011, my wife got one for her Bodyguard 380, and she loves it. Honestly, this is the first time I’ve heard this holster not being shown to be affiliated with Looper.
Hey all! Thank you for sharing the video and for your comments. I want you to know that I agree with you 100% about the website. It’s AWFUL!!!! We’re actually re-doing it right now :) I wish I could say that I’ve made millions of dollars and that I’m a cheapskate when it comes to websites, but I have to tell you that we have grown our business without outside financing, and when a company grows as fast as ours has over the past few years, there’s NO money left to go around. Sometimes it’s hard to keep the lights on, so re-doing a website has to take the back burner.
MIKE- I definitely can’t sell you on something that you’re not into, but if you have any questions about the Flashbang, or any of our other products, I would be happy to answer them :) Since you don’t have boobs, I’d love to tell you to check out our men’s line called the Prohibition Series…..but I definitely don’t want you to see that website yet!!!! LOL Give it a month or two, okay? ;-)~
HANK- you CAN tuck in your shirt, and you CAN wear a super tight top (depending on the gun you’re trying to carry). There are a lot of videos and pics online where you can see examples of this. Our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/flashbangholster is an excellent resource :)
BRIAN- So glad your wife loves her holster :). My hubby and I own Looper, but as the women’s line has grown, its really taken over the company. People were looking for us at shows and online who didn’t know anything about Looper Law Enforcement. When they started complaining that they couldn’t find us, we created the Flashbang Holsters business name and started using it.
Always a pleasure to chat with fellow gun enthusiasts! Hope you all have a great weekend :-D
Best,
Lisa Looper
