Buck Yeager’s video that sparked the feud:
It’s funny to see Buck Yeager as the voice of reason now. The same guy that flipped his shit and said he was going to start killing people. From what I know about the march, it does seem very risky. Who knows what could happen? It’s ridiculous that gun laws differer so drastically from state to state, but I’m going to have to side with Yeager on this one… I just don’t know if a bunch of pro 2A people who are gun owners getting felonies (and then being not allowed to own guns as a result) is the way to go about trying to make change. Going unarmed to this doesn’t really say as anything as far as I’m concerned, but on the other hand I guess strength in numbers still looks good.
Adam Kokesh tells Yeager to prove to him he’s not a coward:
Home address is given… Let’s see if Yeager shows. Let me guess… UH NO. Yeager really should stop making threats… it’s some schoolyard bullshit that is just making him look like an idiot.
Kokesh tries to compare this to other open carry events across the country that have been happening in an effort to sell how “safe” this DC one is going to be. Yeah… no other open carry events as far as I know violated laws on purpose just to try and prove a point. Maybe I’m wrong about that though?
Side Note: Maybe it’s just the way Adam is sitting, but his suit looks ridiculous.
You can read about the July 4th open carry march on Washington DC over on the facebook page.
An excerpt:
We will march with rifles loaded & slung across our backs to put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny. We are marching to mark the high water mark of government & to turn the tide. This will be a non-violent event, unless the government chooses to make it violent. Should we meet physical resistance, we will peacefully turn back, having shown that free people are not welcome in Washington, & return with the resolve that the politicians, bureaucrats, & enforcers of the federal government will not be welcome in the land of the free.
Thoughts? Maybe I’m missing something? Are any of you guys going to this armed? Let me know.

Konesh is an anarchist. despite that i do agree with SOME of his positions but it doesn’t take too many brain cells to see how badly this could go, how far back it could put the gun rights movement and how this type of incident could take the Obama Administration from being on the ropes to winning huge publicity for a renewed assault weapons ban.
having said all that, we can really only hope for two possible outcomes since Konesh is going to go forward with this despite what the gun rights community thinks.
we can hope that almost NO ONE shows up to make him look like a failed publicity seeker OR we can hope that THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of people show up to scare the Congress into believing that we’re on the verge of a civil war. yeah its extreme but i don’t really see the mushy middle doesn’t end up hurting us badly. if its 2000 people you can bet money that DC will get reinforcements from every off duty Federal Agent in the country along with a couple of battalions of National Guard from Virginia and Maryland.
one last thing. before the War of Independence there was an “event” that set things in motion. if the assault weapons ban had been reenacted then you could say such an event had occurred. it didn’t. things are bad but the time for acts such as this haven’t arrived yet.
He’s been arrested and not heard from since Saturday. Clearly, he shook the state’s cage…

Looks like they planted drugs on him during his arrest.
“Oh, yeah hey guys! We’re gonna get them to change their (the govt.) minds by breaking the law!”
good idea. I think drunk driving is a good idea, so I’m gonna go drink and drive to show them how stupid their ideas are! (disclaimer – that’s sarcasm)
Why not, but do it in NYC, Washington DC is such a special case…
They are going to prove that they will not be intimidated by turning back at the first sign of physical resistance…wha?
Oh my God… Please please please Yeager come to VA and do something stupid…
That supposedly grown man needs to stop making threats every time he doesn’t like something someone says to him, it’s pathetic.
well as you watch this or read the comments Adam Kokesh is sitting in a Federal a jail. he really is in jail right now
These two might have the right combination of ego and facial hair to take each other out of the gene pool. God willing…..
I just think Yeager is of the ‘roids which can’t be a bad thing. He seems like a decent enough fellow really, just a fat kid who lost a lot of weight and got angry as all fuck for a while. The Iraq thing….I wasn’t there, can’t say anything about it.
Kokesh…..Kokesh is a demagogue and IMO quite dangerous. “General discharge under honorable conditions” and for me that is quite enough.
The internecine bullshit really annoys me. It seems that anyone who is otherwise clearly pro-2A dares to disagree with someone else who is otherwise clearly pro-2A, it almost always devolves into one of them accusing the other one of being “not pro-2A enough.” From that point on, it’s almost always nothing but a personality slapfight, and it’s not helping.
Yeager (whether you agree with him or not) simply states his case for why he thinks this is a bad idea. He doesn’t call Adam names, he doesn’t question his devotion to “the cause”, he only questions the wisdom of this particular action. Adam responds with a video over three times as long that is full of almost nothing but direct and sideways ad hominem attacks against Yeager.
I honestly can’t decide who I agree with in re: the wisdom of this march, but I think I’m leaning toward Yeager. However, I’ve absolutely decided that Kokesh’s response makes him look like a petulant jackass.
Also, the suit looks weird because the jacket is too big for him. It might pass standing up (although people who know better would notice it’s oversized), but as soon as he sits down it looks absolutely awkward.
This is the problem, too much infighting. The anti-gunners don’t argue and bicker amongst themselves in quite the same manner that a lot of the Pro-2A people do. This makes them a united front. How are we supposed to fight them if we continue to be a bunch of little action groups that all disagree with one another. It’s one thing to have different ideas, it’s another to begin attacking your comrades and other people on your side of the debate FOR that difference in ideas.
As pro-2A supporters this is our number one weakness, we tend to argue with each other as much as the other side.
The difference there is, they have all agreed, if not out loud, but deep inside, where their cause ends. No firearms.
Us pro-rights people… welll, there are lots out there that say “Im all for the second amendment… BUT… “. And everyone’s line they are willing to stand at is different.
Honestly, it’s a ballsy move on Kokesh’s part, but it may be the very thing that’s needed. Anti-gunners are in it for the long-haul; a war of incrementalism against the 2A. Either way, the result of this will accelerate the very thing the anti-gunners are already incrementally enacting (i.e., more anti-gun legislation) OR it will show that the D.C. government (who’s in violation of SCOTUS’s pro-2A ruling anyway) is impotent in the face of determined protestors. If marchers are arrested, there’s going to be A LOT of constitutional suits filed against D.C.
LOL at the suit comment, Mike. He’s actually a big guy.
Is there a company that specializes in selling purses to men? They’re going to have to expand production if this level of purse swinging continues.
I agree with Kokesh
I’m thinking doing this in D.C. is the wrong location to start.
If they want to make it a civil rights issue, which it is, they should do the marches in L.A., or NYC, or Boston. Essentially play the Montgomery Bus Boycotts out before they pick on D.C. The initial march starting in D.C. either has to be a footnote or an overwhelming mass.
I can’t see it coming out good with a middling crowd. Now if the D.C. government uses the military it will be a disaster. I could see a Kent State combined with Waco. Not pretty.
Holy shit that guy is my neighbor.
Did James say he is the poster child for doing things the smart way?
kokehead is a nut. Yeager is right.
I guess the Bonus Army’s concerns were wrong too?
What about Coxley’s Army?
Looks like Kokesh was arrested recently.

I hope he doesn’t think that getting him self arrested is a excuse for not attending the march.
Based on the man who is leading this effort is it a terrible idea hell yes, but that said if it were to go pear shaped it would be the best thing and greatest testament for the constitutionalist movement since the Boston massacre. Lets be honest a single round fired at any of the protesters would be the end of the bastardization of a republic that the progressive subversives have created.
Why does Yeager’s T-shirt say ‘wave man’ in Chinese?
It’s most likely the Japanese word for “rōnin” and not the Chinese word.
Duel contract. *whip lash sound*
