One guy’s opinion:
- That gun kicks like a mule.
- Guns cause crime the way spoons made Rosie O’Donnell fat.
- That gun is on steroids.
- That gun is a tack driver.
Unlike this guy I enjoy gun related idioms. If people don’t get them, that’s their problem, considering the ones he mentioned are quite ingrained in our culture and self explanatory.

I’ll tell you what four “gun sayings” needs to go away:
1. Gun Free Zones – This should be “victim disarmament zones.”
2. Assault Weapons – Self-explanatory. My Titanium Spork may be tacticool, but it’s not being used to assault people. Just jello. ;)
3. High Capacity Magazines – 30 rounders are standard capacity magazines. People can reload anyway.
4. Gun Control – Tyranny. Infringement. Enslavement. Those should be the replacement terms.

Why is it so bad to say that a gun kicks like a mule or that a gun is tack driver?
Making self-shot videos while driving around the neighborhood needs to go away.
Talking like your constipated and need sinus surgery needs to go away.
Repeatedly using the term “needs to go away” needs to go away.
I bought a gun one time because I was told it was a tack driver. The next day I tried to use it to tack down insulation in my crawl space. It was really loud, and boy o boy, was my wife mad about all the extra holes in the floor.
No one knows what a mule is anyway.
Been kicked by a cow, it hurts.
Wow, there’s 5 minutes of my life, completely wasted. For the record, if you don’t know what a mule is, or why getting kicked by a large ornery animal hurts, then you should pay your parents back every dime that they spent on your education.
btw, if your gun “kicks” instead of “recoils” you need to take it to your local gunplumber, stat.
I generally try to object to the person’s ideas and stay away from insulting the person. But in this case the whole video was stupid.
