I remember seeing a few examples like this in physics:
Demonstrating the law of conservation of momentum with a M1 Garand.
I wonder if lots of publishers are getting pressured to swap them out for different examples? Wouldn’t want to scare anyone. If a police officer or a soldier was holding the gun it might be a little more acceptable, but still unnecessarily scary. Probably better to use a non threatening cannon instead. haha
Thoughts?

Awesome find. Pretty accurate depiction of the M1, I’d say. Too bad there’s no chance I’d be able to actually do the math, though haha.
Great choice of rifle !
I remember one math exercise in my books, where they were counting the wounded soldiers. I think it was from Lewis Caroll.
Out of 200 soldiers engaged in a fight, x had a leg chopped off, y had their arm shot, z had 3 wounds etc etc. How many made it out without a scratch?
wtf that’s so morbid haha
Has a pre-44 milled trigger housing, nice touch.
I have that textbook; its for an engineering dynamics class. And in response to the math being difficult, it’s not. It’s just simple plug and chug algebra, everything is linear.
