Have a good talk with your AK-47, AR-15, SKS, and shotgun… assure them it will be alright:
As you probably gathered I don’t care much for TAPCO. I know a few guys that love various accessories that they make. Regardless of my thoughts, I see their logo on the website says “25 Years” on it so they must be doing something right.
You can check out the boilerplate style press release over at GearScout.
Thoughts? I wonder how much they paid? Maybe TAPCO threatened to flood the market with a whole range of ugly Remington 700 stocks if Remington didn’t write a check? ;)
I really hope they rename the company to Tappington. It will give TAPCO the sophistication it needs… like well groomed British cartoon bear that drinks tea with honey and eats scones on the reg.

Tapco used to deal in army surplus and FAL parts. I always liked getting their catalogs in the mail. I’ve used their AK47 trigger parts and a Galil style handguard. I haven’t had any problems with those items. However I’ve found that most of their recent manufactured stocks and such have been hideous and cheap looking. I’m really hoping Remington can add some style into any new designs they come up with.
Their AK triggers are good. However, the cheap plastic things they make feel cheap and plastic. Tapco exists to that bubbas can make their Mosin Nagants look like an AR15.
That’s brutal. And true.
At least Tapco never hired Lon Horiuchi as a spokesman.
LOL.
I haven’t used Tapco recently, but I have their AK collapsible stock, their AK standard stock and their SAW AK grips from about 5 years ago. Those are really good products that have held up great.
I used to get there magazines, but I never purchased one of their products…
this is just Cerebus buying up more of the firearms industry and everything they touch goes to crap.
This…
Tapco is crap. End
Why?
