The G26 and other subcompact Glocks don’t currently come with accessory rails… so the only option is to DIY:
The initial cuts were done with a Dremel tool and emery cutting wheel, then refined with an x-acto knife and sand paper.
You can check out the full DIY write-up over at GlockTalk, and you’ll be strapping stupid lasers and knives on your subcompact glock in no time.
As much as I like Glocks, I don’t miss my G26. The subcompacts just aren’t for me… I realized I’m more of a compact and fullsize guy.
Thoughts? Anyone plan on doing this mod?

LOL. Why would you use that rail? And Mike, I’m with you. Compact or full size glocks ftw.
You guys make me sick, all these fancy new handguns are shit compared to a good old fashioned Colt .45.
No need to argue between 1911s and Glocks everybody knows that CZ wins hands down.
1911s? No, those suck too. All these “tacticool” semi-automatics look like toys to me and are about as rugged too. No man, I mean the Single Action Army. Revolvers are coming back, these Glocks are just a fad.
LOL – well played
I present you with an award. “Best ass covering award of the week.” Enjoy.
colt 45 a 2 zigzags is all we need we can go to da park…….
I couldn’t cut up my gun to do this, would be terrifying!
I am considering a g26, what are some of the negative aspects of the subcompact glocks? I figured since glock was so consistent it would be like having a smaller g19 and a similar shooting and maintenance experience. Are there major drawbacks?
The G26 isn’t much smaller than the G19. So little that it makes it not worth it considering you’ll pinch your hand on reloads constantly, and also be without that extra grip length for your pinky. Sure you can get extened mags for the G26 with the pinky groove, but that is really defeating the purpose and if you’re doing that then you might as well just have a G19 in the first place.
Ah, I see your point. The dimension most important for carry is the grip length so that makes sense that if you get extensions to prevent pinching on reloads (which sounds really annoying) you’re better off just having the g19 which has a longer barrel and a factory 3 finger grip and flush 15 round mag with no added complicated floorplate extensions and whatnot.
I have learned! lol
I think after learning this I shall keep my g19 for carry. It just seemed grass is always greener on the other (smaller) side.
Great idea…but how do you get a holster for it, other than custom made?
He actually made his own out of kydex, its in the thread. It’s pretty awesome. I always find fabrication so captivating. The idea that you can make something that most people cannot is very attractive.
Naw, a regular holster would work just fine for that gun; he didn’t raise anything on the body so the gun should fit without any special custom holster work. But who’s the say you can’t do it anyway? ;)
So you take a compact pistol purchased for concealability I would guess, I mean what other reason would you buy a compact? Then you hack it up horribly to add useless stuff to it to make it less concealable. Genius
Carried IWB having all sorts of retarded stuff hanging on a rail wouldn’t hurt concealability at all. But if this is really your goal it seems chopping the grip on a 19 would be a better option. But then I just recently picked up my first subcompact Glock (27) and learned how much I dislike them. Can’t wait until I can find a suc…. er… person to buy it.
The purpose of the sub-compact (and I have 3 Glocks: 22, 23 and 27) is for the best in concealability. Adding anything to it defeats the purpose. I carry all three and have added nothing except a mag extension on the 23. They are supposed to be concealed after all.
Its what ever your comfortable using for self defense. Not caliber or make wise up.
Plastic makes perfect.
i wanna put a bayonet on it.
Century Arms will do this to you’re glock for $50
Does this affect the strength or integrity of the compact? I’m not sure it makes a difference but why? It’s like putting 28″ wheels and a $5000 stereo on a late seventies Gremlin/pinto. WTF for? Lol
How did u line up the first cuts
To the “why get a subcompact if you’re gonna add stuff” crowd, the answer is versatility. The G26 goes from an easily concealable 10 round subcompact, to essentially a G19 or G17 with just a mag change. And lights are easy/quick to remove. So when you want a little pocket gun you take the light off and put a 10 round flush fit mag in it. And when you’re able to carry something bigger the light goes back on it along with a 15 or 17 round mag.
