Throw bottles at cops, get dealt with:
Full Story – HERE
If members of the crowd were actually throwing bottles, they deserve this. Sure, the women with kids and strollers were likely not, but when the people you hang out with do stuff like that, you just get lumped right in with them and suffer the consequences. Life Lesson: If you’re going to protest, don’t be a dick. Do your little chants, hold up your signs etc… When you start doing ignorant shit, disrespecting Law Enforcement by putting them in danger, that’s where I draw the line.
It’s suspect that the video reports people said the police offered to buy their cellphone videos off them. I find that hard to believe, but then again nothing surprises me anymore.
Thoughts?

well you got to take a few things into account. If the police waited longer to take action they might have had a full on Riot. Once the crowd decides to take that step(throwing things and getting hostile) you got to do what you got to do. I like how the K9 always makes people evacuate their bowels.
If there was a riot, it would have been incited by the police. Those people were there because the police extra-judicially executed a US citizen, who considered the police a threat, and exercised his duty to retreat.
Troll harder, I don’t think James took the bait…
you never get to see what happens before the event, its always ‘we were just sitting here’, ‘ i was on my way to choir practice’ blah, blah, free ma nigga, blah.
Admittedly there is a disturbing trend of troublemakers highjacking peaceful protests and getting out these days.
The police in CA are well known to use excessive force against peaceful protestors with out provocation. Take for instance the UC Davis protest in which the chancelor of the university said “My instructions were for no arrests and no police force. I explicitly directed the chief of police that violence should be avoided at all costs.” They were students sitting on the ground in the quad at their university, what did they do wrong? What threat did they pose?

Or the Headwaters Forest protest in 1997, in which the police were swabbing peoples eyes with q-tips drenched in pepper spray.
The police always film protests to defend themselves against excessive force lawsuits, and also have dash board cameras. If people were throwing rocks/bottles, then where is the video?
I wonder why you all have such a high regard for them, they are gun grabbing welfare queens. Wait until you are involved in a defensive gun use, and get Zimmermaned by them.
You and your illegal alien friends, whether invading offices, blocking sidewalks, or rioting in defense of a gangbanger, don’t have the right not to be met with force.
Have an educated person show you the ENTIRE video of the Davis incident… The “innocent student protestors” yet again forced these Officers to take action.
Several of them decided to change the course of the protest, and block a walk-way access. When these “protestors” were then arrested, the rest of the group en-circled the Officers and chanted that the Officers would not be allowed to leave until they released the arrestees.
The ability to protest is one of the wonderful ideals of this country, but there will always be a small portion of the group that wants to incite Police into action.
As far as this new Anaheim incident… I’m not going to comment after watching one video; I’ll leave the monday-morning quarterbacking to professionals like Matt here.
Post a URL to the video to support your claim.
Those students have a right to sit where they want on campus. That ignores the fact, that the police violated the chancelors orders.
Really? The police were incited to pepper spray a large group of people because they were sitting? By that logic, do they get to shoot people because they are walking?
It took all of 1.5 seconds to find it. You obviously didn’t make ANY effort to find out what actually happened in that particular incident…

Its important to remember the background to this protest. (Context is important).
Earlier, Anaheim Police had shot dead an UNARMED man. They had also waited over 3 minutes to render any type of first aid.
This is the type of police behavior that leads to out of control protests.
Glass bottles could be a reason to use this level of violence, but plastic water bottles? The cops in this vid are some serious thugs for putting that level of force on unarmed people. They obviously couldn’t control their dog either since they could barely keep him off the women and kids.
Still, it takes a special kind of stupid to bring children to a protest…
Yes, because I expect to be attacked and mauled by dogs when I exercise my rights to peaceable assembly and free speech.
Cops being pigs? In California? Who’d a thunk it. What’s bad is that if there is a full scale riot, they shit their uniforms and split. No surprise they offered to buy cell phones either. I’m actually surprised that they didn’t confiscate them by force.
Lesson #2 in Witness Intimidation 101. Stay classy California.
Interesting to watch the European riots. Throwing Molotov cocktails isn’t enough to get you shot over there. Here we tend to get our duty issued tactical panties in a wad a little easier.
I’m honestly shocked that the cops didn’t go after the people taking the video, they’ve developed a nasty habit of doing that lately.
Dang , I thought you meant open fire with live rounds, that was disappointing
Really Irish ? Since when is unarmed not dangerous ???????????????????????
Poor, poor Tobias…. can’t grasp the insanity that is European law and police policies.
That dog was having the time of it’s life.
half you morons are anti gun control and pro police state…wake up the pigs are not your friends
Piss poor police work. Someone needs to be fired/prosecuted.
p.s. Great K9!! Now that’s a dog!!!
So according to some of the nutjobs on here if a citizen shoots and kills an UNARMED assailant it’s justified but if a policeman does the same thing, same scenario it becomes excessive force….right….
police are public servants, citizens are not. shooting someone in your home is far different that shooting someone in the street. you are also ignoring that the person who was murdered by the police, was retreating.
I’m sure the man locals call “Stomper” was a super duper awesome guy. How do you think he earned that name?
I detect fake crying at 1:45
Hey, is that Perd Hapley at the end? http://cdn.uproxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/perd1-650×358.jpg
Yes. It’s Perd w/ the word!
Agree with article.
For some reason or another, there’s always a campus riot in my area around summer time. There’s always the group of wannabe anarchists that mix into the group to incite the cops to hurt people. Same with the addict vagrants ruining the Occupy protests around here. These are all risks people take by associating with these sort of events, just cause or not. Just saying they’re not family friendly events…
Don’t bring babies to protests
This was clearly an attempt by illegal aliens and their sympathizers to establish a no-go area for police to protect the criminals in their midst.
I love the blind mentality if ignorance people like you have. If you’re from an immigrant background, you must be illegal no matter what!!
“Clearly?” Tin foil hat much?
if you are only doing it much you are doing it wrong.
Tin foil hat always! Even when sleeping. They scan your dreams and keep them on file….
