Big dreams from this guy:
This game will get back to the core of what is loved about the tac-shooter, featuring realistic weapon modeling, outfitting and commanding your squad, objective-based, non-linear missions set in real-world locations around the world, single player, co-op, and multiplayer.
He has some nice credentials which give me confidence.
I’ve seen a lot of projects I thought were weak on Kickstarter achieve lots of success. For all the people that game, I’m really surprised the response is so weak so far. Considering the minimum pledge is $15 and that gets you a digital download of the game, that seems like a really good deal.
I suppose a big part of the low response is due to the fact the $200000 is only to prove the viability to investors. Really, if you donate your $15 god knows when you’ll ever see the game from it. It could be years.
Thoughts?

link to the kickstarter page would be nice.
Exactly, that’s why I put one.
Oh, maybe you’re following through RSS and can’t see the iframe?
d´oh! note to self. don reply when you just woke up!
seems like a great idea for a game. more co-op games are needed! :-)
Number one thing I want in a video game – Proper presentation of a shotgun. The 12 gauge shotgun is a devastating weapon and shot be shown as such. Not shoot the guy 3 times to kill him and have a ridiculous unrealistic pellet spread.
All they need to do is make a new game with modern graphics, but with gameplay like the first Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games.
Serellan gained his rep as a modder for the R6-series of games before he was hired by the series’ developer, Red Storm Entertainment. I believe his first job with them involved the console ports of some of the original Ghost Recon expansion kits. From there, he moved on to Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.
Sounds like he’s on the right track… Could be a great game.
Sounds like a great idea, but like he said… studios need a 5mil unit sale to make it worth it and so they “balance” the game out to appeal to broad audience. Balance of course means making a .50 cal sniper rifle a two-shot killer.
I hope his idea gets off the ground, but I’d be dishonest if I didn’t mention how pessimistic I am about it coming into fruition.
i’d be interested in a realtime ww1 shooter where you slog through mud for three months and die from trenchfoot.
I’d be interested in any kind of WWI shooter. Shooting the same old Russians in every single game has gotten boring.
