Pants customized for pocket carry. Awkward shuffle-run possibly included:
Maybe that’s just how that guy runs, even without those pants? Who knows, but if I had a compact Glock jammed in my right pocket I’m positive I wouldn’t look like much of an operator when running either.
Killer pleats bro. See a dude explain the system and appear to fiddle with his junk for a minute and a half:
If I thought pocket carry was a good idea I would like this idea in theory. What I definitely don’t like is that you have to buy their pants to get it. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a snob when it comes to a lot of things, clothing being one of them. I don’t care what other people wear or can or can’t afford, but I personally wouldn’t want to be seen even cutting lawn in these “Mom jeans”.
Getting a pair of jeans that I like, and/or already own customized by a seamstress to do this? Now that sounds like a better business plan for a niche market.
I watched some of the videos on youtube, and the draw looks pretty awkward. Although they say it’s faster in comparison to other CCW methods, they don’t show the fact you would (or should) be carrying your loaded Glock with a trigger block which you would still have to eject.
The three things you will have to practice:
- Reaching in a closed pocket and grabbing the gun
- Tilting the gun toward your junk to break the snaps on the pants open
- Ejecting the trigger block before you can fire
Under extreme stress I just don’t see the average person having the dexterity to preform all three of those actions flawlessly. My personal belief is that you still can’t beat a good IWB holster for simplicity, safety, and comfort.
Check out the CCW Breakaway website for more information, or to purchase a pair.
Thoughts?

Looks like a new level of super-derp to me, even more so than the tactical CCW fanny pack video a while back. Brings a new meaning to “Is that a Glock in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?”
People must buy shit holsters, because my Blade Tech Phantom IWB is perfect and I carry a G17 on a 29″ waistline, no problems.
You forgot to mention that if you wear these pants you can murder in cold blood the man rifling through your wife’s purse. Stone cold license to kill (check my pants officer, I’ve got class 3 clearance to kill a fool)
I thought that too, just shoot that sucker on-site. No questions asked. haha
What about after he chases down and straight up shoots this guy?
…re-button your pocket, step over dead body to retrieve purse, celebratory ice cream?
The guy in the first video was pretty quick to shoot the guy down lol, I’d be like oh A knife? I’ll draw and if he comes towards me boom boom pew pew.
and at that range you’d likely get a facefull of knife before you could react
This is a very sobering video about how dangerous knives can be. The poor guy NEVER had a chance.

Holy that’s scary.
Yes, because I WANT to pocket carry a freaking service pistol… oh wait, no I don’t, thats pants on head retarded!
I pocket carry A LOT (i.e.: the only way I carry). I have about 12 different pants I wear, and none of them are any slower than this system… granted I’m not carrying a freaking DUTY BELT SIZED GUN but I sure as hell don’t want or need to either. This seems like a solution looking for a problem.
Just checked the website…. holy cock on a flagpole! NINETY DOLLARS A PAIR?! Are you OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND MAN?!
You’ll shoot your dick off
This might be a decent way to carry a compact pistol paired with something like Raven Concealment’s Vanguard clipped inside the pocket.

I often pocket carry a snub nose revolver inside a pocket holster like this: http://www.unclemikes.com/products/inside_the_pocket_holsters.html
but then it seems like the breakaway pocket would remove the friction necessary to clear the gun from the holster during the draw.
Wait, do I really want to point a gun at my balls while trying to pull it out of my pocket really quick? No, probably not.
That guy runs like a goober, and how can they say that is faster than a holster? Really bad idea.
Comes with a free vasectomy? Points for creativeness, but price point and (I’m guessing) comfort (not too mention looks) are deal killers IMHO
This will be a big seller in India where you can get a gun permit if you lose the balls.
Or you could just get a decent holster and not worry about shooting yourself…
I think I’d prefer to be shot than be seen in these middle-age, pleated khakis, with “tactical” dress shoes like he’s rocking. What a goober.
What do you wear in a professional environment? Skinny jeans?
Haha I’m a dress slacks and suspenders kind guy.
I pocket-carried for four years when I worked in an office. Business casual dress (khakis, tucked-in shirt) makes it hard to carry anything more than a mouse gun during the day.
yay for lazy criminals that round a corner and stop just ahead of the direction of travel of your target!!
Steps of this draw:
1. Jam you hand in your pocket as fast as you can
2. grab your pistol and hope you have a good grip
3. point the muzzle directly at your manhood very quickly while breaking the snaps with a super awkward wrist movement
4. yank the pistol out as fast as you can while still muzzling your junk.
I think I would rather use a holster.
The price s ridiculous. The system might not be so bad. Like Mike said, maybe if that could be done by a tailor with my current pants. You might not like it, but it ain’t as retarded as this.

Yikes. I love how he interprets wrapping an arm around your loved on as ‘protecting.’ I think ‘human bullet shield’ would be more appropriate.
Gives:
“Is that a gun in your pants or are you just glad to see me?
A whole new meaning
*Covert WITHOUT the ‘tactical operator’ look.
Damn dude. You just cut out about 80 percent of your customer base.
$89!!!!??? Fuck that, I’ll throw a pair of pants at my mom and tell her to do it for free! And tell her to make me a sandwich while I wait.
That was some god awful video production. Terrible, terrible directing.
Way too slow. Someone who knows how to use a blade would have gutted him like a pig while he getting his piece. I will keep my $90 dollars.
If I’m carrying a gun anywhere near that general area, it’s going in a holster…
Way too much can go wrong with that system, not to mention your junk or femoral arteries. You get shot in the leg hitting those, your fucked. It doesn’t take long to bleed out from that.
Faster than a holster??? Really, I’ll stick with a holster. Didn’t some yahoo blow his junk up in Arizona a while back?
“Dude, I just want your money… oh thank god, you’re only going to shoot me. This could have been awkward.”
LOL hilarious.
so it’s faster if you already have a ready grip on their system vs. hands in the air/at sides with a standard holster? otherwise I call BS.
also the only breakaway pants I care about are the ones I use to pay the rent………
How can they time the ‘draw’ speed when he starts with his hand already ON the gun and doesn’t bother aiming at anything? I bet you’d gain the real time difference back with the attackers confusion over you jerking off
Yea exactly! LOL the end part of your comment was the best.
