Wow:
I posted a different trailer a while back, that had some different footage. I can’t even believe all the detail in this game… pretty crazy.
The release date is November 8th. You can pre-order it at Amazon for $60– HERE

Meh. Try Armed Assault 2 if you are not suffering from ADD and parkinsons like the 15 year olds that love the modern warfare series.
Although I love CoD/Halo/etc. – there really needs to be more games like Armed Assault/ArmA & the original Flashpoint…but the money is in the fast paced mindless shooter genre :-(
wicked sick !! i’m going to pre-order this game :D
WHY WON’T MY BODY STOP PRODUCING SEMEN?!?
Just looking at the trailer, I can tell this will be shit.
CoD4: MW was a great game. It had a story that fit like a glove, was semi plausible, and just plain fun. Sneaking through a quiet night in the Caucus Mountains, quietly taking out guards before firing into a valley to protect an army attacking a village is amazingly fun. And that’s just the first proper level.
MW2 was a mess, full of ridiculously idiotic situations and a story so incredibly flawed that it hurts me to even think about it.
And MW3 will be no different, it seems. Somehow the Russians are able to attack, destroy, and hold major cities across the United States, France, Britain, and Germany, without being stretched too thin, and apparently able to attack without warning.
“Well General Ivan, we just declared war on the most powerful country on Earth and were unsuccessful in taking her major cities. It would appear that our invasion force was an abject failure.”
“Then there’s only one thing left to do lieutenant Presrothivichinski.”
“Invade the rest of the world for absolutely no reason?”
“Exactly.”

What is the Russian’s plan here? I mean, they had motive for attacking the US sure, but Europe? This IS Russia we’re talking about here right? The same country that had major problems supporting it’s own troops and maintaining communications during the Georgian invasion? The same Russia that has ONE aircraft carrier and ONE-NINTH the planes the United States does? That’s outnumbered 6-1 population-wise now that Europe is involved?
I could believe this maybe, just maybe, if the belligerents were Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and Al Qaeda. But this is just silly.
And why were the invading Russians equipped with FN FALs and Israeli Tavors?
‘Cause pretty much every Russian infantry rifle is a permutation of the Kalashnikov, and Infinity Ward wanted a bit more diversity. It’s a pretty stupid reason, as the AN-94, AK-74M, VSS, and Grorza are all plenty different, but whatever. Maybe everyone who works at IW is retarded?
Maybe the argument could be made that they’re using NATO weapons so that infantry will be able to make battlefield pick-ups of enemy mags. But other than that I got nothing.
Well you also have to remember that IW was pretty much gutted by Activision after MW2, since IW didn’t want to play by Activisions bullshit rules.. So I’m assuming most of their decisions come from the higher ups in Activision who probably have complete retardation to begin with.
+1 Agree with Cameron on all of the above. CoD4 was one of the best games I’ve ever played as far as story goes. The campaign for MW2 was a disappointment and I didn’t even finish BlackOps because I found it unoriginal and boring.
I grow weary of each new game coming out with “even more better” graphics in Michael Bay cut-scenes because that’s what they are: cut scenes. The in-game detail is (understandibly) never on par with the cut scenes, but it’s on these advertisements that everyone starts raving about how awesomely detailed the next game will be.
CoD was fun, but it’s played itself out and the sprinting, jumping, dual-wielding retards that Mark was talking about have pretty much put the nail in that coffin for me. I’ll be one of the guys transitioning to BF3 to see how that goes.
I’m saving my money for Elder Scrolls Skyrim. The last couple of CoDs were sort of “meh”. I agree with the plot analysis of the above post.
Also, I am not as interested in FPS games anymore. I really want a good air combat game like Microsoft Combat Flight Sim WWII but for Xbox360. Or I could just spend some time developing a new load for my .357mag.
Again, MW3, meh.
Sorry, but I’m sticking to WoW.
The trailer looked great in and of itself. But the idiots you bump into online on that game are beyond retarded.
think I will stick to BF3…
If only EA was still developing the Medal of Honor series. They brought it back out last year, did a pretty decent job, and I haven’t heard anything from it since. Maybe they’re afraid of it taking Battlefield series sales?
If Call of Duty focused more on realism and less on flashy theatrics- more along the lines of COD4:MW- they’d be in much better shape. If BF3 plays much better than its beta and they fixed a good number of issues I can see myself buying that and skipping MW3. I bought MW2 and BlackOps (even though Black Ops was terrible in so many ways) and skipped the Bad Company games, but having played BF3 beta and doing quite well, I am intrigued.
I think I’m the only person on earth that only plays these games for the story mode. I have no interest in playing mindless hours of tag-your-it.
See my earlier post.
I think BF3 + a good trip to the range > CODMW3
I like the COD series for the story not much the gameplay. For me its like an interactive movie. Cause i know the weapons dont handle that way and if you get shot even in one of your extremities your pretty much combat ineffective.
I don’t know. I’m biased to the battlefield series but honestly MW3 doesn’t look very good visually speaking. Most of the shots in the trailer were not actually game play but cut scenes. I liked the first one. All of the ones after that are just re-badged clones (except the zombie side games which are simple but a lot of fun). Multiplayer is uber arcadish and pretty boring too.
I think everyone else has pretty much hit the nail on the head. Battlefield 3 will definitely be getting my money this year, especially after how awesome the beta was. Even for a beta it was damn fun, and looked incredible. Call of Duty has gone a little too far into “Wacky” territory for me.
I’ll rent it, play through the story mode, mess around with the online until I’m bored, and send it back. Gamefly, FTW.
I’ve grown out of playing tag and getting shot up by 8 year olds and glitchers. Plus, I can’t afford to replace controllers every week or two. (yeah, I know I have an anger problem.)
Seems somebody over at the new Infinity Ward dug the Battlefield trailer, they copied the music effect pretty damned closely.
