In essence the show is Sherlock Homes in a hospital.
Every episode revolves around the team throwing stuff at a patient’s condition with little to no effect because they have no idea what’s wrong, then House has an epiphany and comes up with some outrageously unlikely ailment that just happens to prove that he’s a genius. He is also a self-absorbed ass-hole with a martyr complex.
It’s kinda fun, but only for the one-liners, not for the accuracy of the medicine. If I miss it, I don’t really care enough to chase a repeat.

He is correct. The show and the character House are based on Sherlock Holmes. Like Holmes House is a brilliant drug addict with very little inter personal skills only interested in the cases too hard for anyone else to solve. He even lives on 221b Baker Street and his best friend Wilson is his Watson.
I love the show but I’m a Sherlock Holmes fan too. (I have a leather bound copy of the complete work of Sherlock Holmes.)
It’s worth it just to watch be a dick to people.

Sounds interesting, I’ll probably watch an episode just to test the waters. Thanks!

It suffers only from having the old 24-episode season format. If it were 12/13 eps per season, the quality could be outstanding instead of just entertaining.

i don’t watch tv, but this was pretty awesome.

The writers should change the format of the show into a zombie, survival program. Then it would be interesting.
