Concealed Carry In Bank Supported And Encouraged By Management

Not the kind of sign you would expect to see on a bank:

Very refreshing.

It’s from the window of the Chappell Hill Bank in Chappel Hill Texas.  Judging by the pictures rotating on their main page, it looks like a really neat old place.

My local bank (not a big corporate one either) that I am with does not have anything against concealed carry and that is one thing that I love about it.

Oh and here is a fun fact – There is also a town named Chapel Hill, Texas about 5 miles from me, I never would have thought there was also a place called Chappel Hill. I learned something new today from this blog.

That’s messed up! Looks like they’re about 200 miles apart too. I wonder if anybody accidentally went to the wrong one! Although, in looking it up, it looks to me like the place you’re talking about is actually “New” Chapel Hill, which is served by the “Chapel Hill Independent School District.”

      Damn Texans.

Not having anything against concealed or open carry is one thing… but I really have to hand it to business that go as far as posting a sign saying the support and encourage it.

Basically they are saying, this is what we believe if you have a problem with it tough luck. I like that.

I wonder if Chappell and Chapel are pronounced the same?

You mean you don’t usually learn anything from the blog?! shocking :P

      1. Apparently “Chappell” is pronounced like the word “chapel.” I didn’t think about that though. I could see it having an “sh” sound.

nice, thanks. You are the kind of solid citations.

          1. I think you know by now that I don’t like having unanswered questions. If there’s something that I want to have figured out, it bugs me until I know the answer.

  2. That’s pretty smart of the bank actually. It toots the whistles of a gunny and it encourages robbers to think twice.

    Win-win!

hehe yea. It would be funny if someone snuck a sign like that onto one of their windows in CA in the middle of the night. I bet all hell would break loose.
