I have assembled several AR-15 rifles from scratch. It’s a lot of fun, and you save a lot of money over buying a complete package from the store. Plus you get to put what you want in it!
You do need a couple of special tools, but they really are not that expensive. Especially if you are planning on building more than one rifle.
